Congratulations to our two medallists at the England U17/U15 Championships – Hugo Bucher and Caleb Green.
Hugo won the U15 javelin with a Championships record breaking throw of 69.70. His performance took Gold by almost 12 metres from his nearest rival.
Meanwhile Caleb won a superb bronze in the U17 decathlon with an overall PB score of 6091 and 5 PBs along the way. (100m 11.38 PB, LJ 5.93, SP 12.15 PB, HJ 1.69, 400m 51.52, 100mH 14.18 PB, DT 33.43, PV 3.00 PB, JT 41.41 PB, 1500m 4:34.62)
One of Caleb’s strongest events came in the 400m where he was the fastest of all the decathlon competitors.
Aidan John also had an impressive weekend finishing 4th in the U17 100m. Aidan had clearly prepared perfectly for the event producing 3 PBs in three rounds. Aidan won his heat with a time of 11.03, came 2nd in his semi-final in 11.01 and rounded off the day with 10.97 in the final – his fastest wind legal time ever!
