Congratulations to Isla Pain and Caleb Green who have rounded off their track seasons with medals at the English Schools Combined Events Champs.
Isla won Silver in the Senior Girls Heptathlon with a final score of 4667. After a breakthrough season including competing in the European U20 Champs in the high jump Isla impressed once again and even concluded the two days with a PB in the 800m of 2:22.81. (100mH 15.07, HJ 1.68, SP 9.78, 200m 27.34, LJ 5.37, Javelin 23.66, 800m 2:22.81 PB)
Caleb achieved a hard fourth Bronze in the Inter Boys Octathlon with a PB score of 5327. Caleb has also had a strong season and clearly had more to give smashing his PB in 4 of the events! (LJ 6.52 PB, Discus 36.37 PB, Javelin 39.53, 400m 50.36 PB, 100mH 13.56 PB, HJ 1.77 =PB, SP 12.40 PB, 1500m 4:34.26)
Orla Dowie and Oliver Belbeck were also selected to compete for Gloucestershire in the Inter Girls Heptathlon and Senior Boys Decathlon respectively. Orla finished in 18th achieving a high jump, shot put and javelin PB along the way and Ollie finished 10th with a points PB of 5089 as well as a pole vault and javelin PB.
