The club doesn’t just excel when competing, our volunteers also put on some brilliant races and what better way to start 2026 then with a competitive cross country relay with County Medals and lots of biscuits up for grabs!
The Senior Men’s A team finished in 5th overall and earned Senior Bronze. Harrison Miles started the team strongly, running an individual time of 10.16, the quickest Harrier time of the day, and put the team in 2nd after lap one. Heath Bampton took the second leg running 11.16 and passing to Al Raitt in 5th place who moved the team up to 4th with an 11.10 clocking. Matt Dwerryhouse impressed bringing the team home with a time of 10.52. The B team put together a brilliant performance finishing 13th thanks to Danny Hunter (11.27), Jack Mundinano (11.03), James Fletcher (12.28) and Liam Kearns (12.07). Our Men’s Masters team of James Wilkinson (11.29), Michael Ede (14.14), Kevin Goodwill (12.05) and Phil Turbard (13.06) finished in 21st and 6th Masters team.
Our U20 Boys team consisting of all U15 athletes held their own against much older competition coming in 7th overall and winning Silver in the U20 boys event. Noah Seabright impressed with a strong run and individual time of 10.44 before passing over to Ethan Hendry, Monty Wilkins and Noah Dix who all ran superbly holding 7th place with individual times of 11.36, 11.12 and 11.35 respectively.
Petra Vymetalova (12.29), Rebecca Townsend (13.03), Hannah Randall (13.17) and Jane Fairbairn (12.43) combined to form our Senior Women’s team producing a brilliant run to take 2nd place, almost a minute ahead of the bronze medal winning team.
There were also strong runs from our mixed team consisting of Leah Hopton (13.36), Bexley Turbard (12.42), Georgia Gray (15.31) and Jo Wilkie (13.43). The team finished in 32nd overall.
