A dream start to the season for our U13/U15 YDL team who won the first fixture by 45 points!
There are always so many amazing performances that only a few highlights can be picked out sadly:
The U15 boys javelin was won by Theo in 51.71, a massive 25 metres clear of 2nd place!
The U15 boys also won the 4x300m in 2:49.5 thanks to the effort of Henry, Josh, Noah and Jack. All 4 boys had busy days individually. All earning valuable points!
Henry – 4th A 300m 42.0, 2nd A Hammer 30.70
Josh – 1st B 300m 42.30, 3rd A Long jump 4.53
Jack – 2nd A 1500m 4:28.80, 1st B shot put 7.08
Noah – 2nd B 1500m 4:52.50.
Zephie won the U15 discus with a best of 25.47 despite sprinting to the competition from playing in the Cheltenham Jazz festival!
Our U15 girls won the 4x100m with the combined team of Verity, Naomi, Bonnie and Alicia running 51.30. The girls also had a busy day.
Verity – 1st B 100m 13.40, 6th A shot put 8.01
Alicia – 3rd A 100m and 200m in 13.40 and 27.30
Naomi – 1st B 200m 27.60
Bonnie – 4th A long jump 4.60, 3rd B shot put 7.15
Eliza and Jess impressed in the U13 1200m, Eliza won the A race in 3:59.60 and Jess won the B race in 4:24.0.
