Last week Pittville hosted the final Gloucestershire XC League of the season with much to play for our athletes came out in full force. Starting the day was the U11 race and a Harriers 1-2. Freddie Miles took 1st with Fraser Elliott finishing well to take 2nd 7 seconds behind. Emilia Game was our first U11 girl home in a superb 3rd place. In the U13 race Otto Davenport Jones and Charlie Neale secured another Harriers 1-2 with Jess Bailey finishing 3rd in the U13 girls race. Ivy Wightman left her best race of the season for last by winning the U15 girls race convincingly. Meanwhile Jack Shingler led the boys team home in 5th.
Tom Wightman ran well to finish 4th U17 man and in the same race Jess Sheppard took a well deserved 2nd U17 girl. Our seniors came out in big numbers and Jane Fairbairn led the way for the women finishing 1st F50. Marie Brush was next in as 2nd F45. For the men Matt Dwerryhouse continued his return to form with 8th senior man, one place ahead of teammate Harrison Miles. Heath Bampton took 2nd M55, with Andy Gore taking 3rd in the same category. Peter Digweed finished 2nd M45 and Michael Ede was 2nd M65.
