Road Race Update – 8-10/5

Lots of road/trail races going on over the including the Bideford 10k where Jane Fairbairn and Nick Holliday represented the club on the National stage. 

The duo competed as part of the England Team at the Bideford 10k. Jane had a superb run, producing her quickest time since 2024, 40:27.6, which saw her finish as 7th F50. Nick ran well to finish as 11th M65 with a time of 42:42.9.

Jack Mundinano took his first race victory since rejoining the club at the Chedworth 10 mile race. Jack ran confidently throughout h and crossed the finish line 40 seconds clear of 2nd place. Danny Hunter and Martin Foster ran superbly to finish in 7th and 8th just 14 seconds apart. Ross Swain, James Wilkinson and Michael Byrd finished in 14th, 30th and 35th respectively. 

At the Bristol Half Marathon Matt Dwerryhouse ran a big PB of 1:17.58, 3 and a half minutes quicker than his previous best.

On Friday night the ever popular Bourton 1 mile took place. Bertie Walmsley led the Harriers home as 1st U18 in a big PB of 4:48.3. Andrew Kaighin and Kev Goodwill weren’t too far behind in 5:08.4 and 5:12.1 and Steve Bradley finished in 6:06.6. Christina See competed for the first time in over a year since foot surgery to finish 9th F60.
