These are both from a few weeks ago but we’ve been waiting on official confirmation.
Aidan John has added to his U15 100m record by lowering the long standing U17 100m record! Aidan ran an impressive 10.8 at the Gloucestershire Schools Championships although it was with a +3.5 wind it knocked 0.1 off the previous record which was originally set in 1988! The record has proved one of the hardest to beat with it being equalled in 1995, 2016 and 2023 and now Aidan adds his wind assisted time to the list – Congratulations!
The other record broken was by Hugo Bucher in the U15 javelin at the Middlesex Schools Championships. Hugo added 2 metres to his javelin PB/the previous record with an incredible throw of 66.21. He now sits 11 metres clear at the top of the UK rankings and places 2nd all time.
