The Bank Holiday weekend brought record-breaking weather and our athletes at the Upper Youth Development League Meeting in Yate battled well in the heat to secure a solid 2nd place finish of the 10 teams.

After a long time out of training with injury, Fred Parry returned to throw 47.97 for the U18A men’s win.
And finally – 2 rather exciting races for the U18 4×100 relays! The U18 Women’s team of Molly, Imogen, Charlotte and Izzy ran 51.65 to win their race with a new fastest U18 time.
The men’s U18 team of Leo, Oscar, Ollie Marchant and Caleb stormed to first position by almost 2 seconds with a new U18 AND U20 club record of 43.19!!
A fabulous end to a great day of athletics. Thank you as always to all the officials who supported and to Alex Beattie and Crispian Webb who managed the team on the day.
