It was brilliant to see a big group of Harriers take part in the Gloucester Spring Open including the Gloucestershire 3000m Championships and U12/U14 Long Jump Championships.
Jack Shingler and Noah Seabright took a 1-2 in the U16 boys competition with both running PBs of 9:47.65 and 9:59.64 respectively – a big barrier broken for Noah dipping under 10 minutes for the first time. Both athletes also competed again during the day with Jack running 41.13 in the 300m and Noah throwing a shot put PB of 10.91.
Finley Liddell took gold in the U12 long jump on his debut competition with a best of 3.71, Annabelle Weldon jumped 4.08 to earn bronze in the u14 girls event and Hermione Howard won silver in the U12 girls with 3.52.
