It’s not often the club has athletes competing in cross country, indoor and outdoor events all in the same weekend!
Hugo Bucher made an early start to the outdoor season in Loughborough winning the English Winter Throws Championships. He threw a massive PB of 54.15 in the U15 javelin, going straight to number 1 in the UK and a performance that would have ranked 3rd in the UK in 2024! First event of the year and English Champion – what else will he do this year!
Isla Harvey made the trek up to Glasgow to take part in the Scottish Indoor Championships. Isla competed in the U15 60m hurdles where she ran a time of 9.82, just 0.01 behind her PB, to qualify for the final. In the final Isla came an impressive 5th place in another fast time – 9.84!
A few Harriers competed in the National Prep Schools Cross Country Championships. Sophia Russel finished 7th U13, Jess Bailey also made the top 10 as 8th U11 and Benjamin Lewis was 56th U13.
